Dedicated to the memory of
Sadie and Issie Kornblum

Devotion

Sylvia Fromstein and Faye Rich

This window tells the story of Sadie and Issie Kornblum's devotion to each other, to their family, and to Jewish traditions. During a return visit to Poland to visit his parents, Issie met, fell in love with, and married Sadie in the space of a few weeks. Their romance lasted a lifetime. The intertwined rings in the top corners symbolize that special bond.

The Hallah and Shabbat candles represent their faithful observance of Jewish traditions. The palm frond and the pine bough are symbolic of their summers in the north and their winters in the south.
